Well, any sort of captain; pirate, Armada, or otherwise. If I really wanted to make it Star Trek though, I'd use Stardate, and post some made-up coordinates afterward. Maybe we'll get some of the stuff reposted, also. The Pheonix rises. And thus was our forum reborn, new life and vigor restored to its aging body. Maybe we will. Nah, it's not that. It's just that I know virtually nobody who's even heard of the game, much less played it. I tend to fall into the mindset of "nobody knows about it except the people I've told".

Well, that's true. I did manage to get a few friends to play it, though. One managed to get to the very end, but as he rushed through the rest of the game, Ramirez wiped him out.

So I've been sick for the last five days or so. Even had to skip class yesterday, it had gotten so bad. But hey, that's not interesting, right? Let's move onto the more interesting news, eh?
So I got a chance to play around with three big-name game releases over the last few weeks. The foremost in my mind is Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass. I'll be doing a more in-depth write-up of that one once I finish playing through it, but my personal thoughts at the moment are that the touch-controls work wonderfully for the most part, but the storyline is kind of bothering me.
The second, and arguably largest release, was the Orange Box, or rather, Portal with a side of Half-Life 2. I haven't played many of the other programs, but I can officially say that Portal is abso-fucking-lutely amazing. If you have an Xbox 360 or a PC that can run the program, you owe it to yourself to buy the Orange Box for Portal alone. It's the most clever use of a realistic physics engine that I've ever seen.
The third and final game that I got to try out was, of course, Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock. I just played today, actually. In terms of playing the game, it's pretty much more of the same thing. There's a larger margin for hitting the notes, which means that more "hardcore" players might be a bit put off by the game, but trust me, on the harder songs, you're going to need that little extra bit. Also, "Through the Fire and Flames" on Expert is the craziest song EVER. On Pro Face-off for Jordan, I can normally manage about 74% of all notes. On this? I barely hit 60%. Almost an hour later, and my arms are still sore as hell. If you try playing this song, make sure you have icepacks ready and waiting.
In other news, I've entered the latest tournament. I haven't participated in an RP tourney for ages. This should be interesting.

Problem is, I try to jump into TF2, and I'm probably gonna end up owned beyond all recognition.
In other news, I think I've crippled myself with Guitar Hero. Playing TtFaF earlier really got me pumped, so I pulled out my old games and played for most of the night. My arms are killing me. >_<;;

Was so very tempted to skip English class today. Kind of wish that I had, now that I'm here. What we're doing now is nothing that I couldn't have done from home, and I could've had an extra hour to relax between classes. Oh well, live and learn, eh?
