"Someone has arrived."
Juni turned her neck around, spotting Melody across the room. The girl appeared lost and disoriented. Not wanting to pass through crowds of people, Juni stood up upon her chair like a gargoyle looming over a daunting castle dungeon. The girl would have to recognize her vibrant red hair and pastel white skin, as it was such a strong color, it almost glowed in the dark.
"Do not mimic me, Lord Drake. You would attract unneeded attention to yourself." said Juni from atop the chair.

As Melody gazed hopelessly around the bar, she began to wonder if she had the wrong place, or if this was some sort of joke. Then, the woman who talked to told her about the meeting stood up on her chair at the bar. Melody recognized the woman, but she was still hesitant to go over to her, not wanting to associate herself with the red-haired woman. She took notice, though, of the figure beside the woman.
That might be the Prince!
Her excitement pushed her around the crowd as she took an empty seat beside the red-haired woman, not wanting to be too obvious in her excitement to see the Prince. She cleared her throat and said, "Nice to see you again."

"Cease the informality. This is the respected Lord Drake. Whether he is exiled and in hiding or not, he is your ruler and deserves the utmost respect." sniped Juni, staring at Melody unblinking.
"By arriving here, I assume you accept the job. Introduce yourself to Lord Drake."

"Juni, is that really necessary?" Drake asked, keeping his voice quiet enough that only Juni and Melody could hear him speak. "We should try and keep my identity from being found, and forcing people to be so formal is completely going against that."
With Melody being so close, she would be able to see the features under Drake's hood as he smiled at her. "I assume you know my name already, now what is yours?"

Melody fumbled around the direct confrontation of the Prince. She thumbed a loose thread on her cloak and struggled with the introduction.
Don't make a fool of yourself! Do it!
The glow from the fire on her bracelet intensified, making it more obvious under her cloak. She swallowed, lifted her head, and spoke as confidently as she could, yet still softly.
"Prince Drake," she said, bowing her head, "my name is Melody Keam. It's an honor to be in your presence."

Juni dutifully stood to the side, carefully watching the girl, the turning away from them to view if anyone in the crowd was aware of who the prince was. She turned back to Melody, only to see her bowing her head.
"It was requested that formality be dropped. Pick your head up."

Drake hung his head almost in reaction to Juni telling Melody to raise her head, as he was beginning to become frustrated with how Juni was acting. He knew that it was her duty to take care of him, but the way she was acting was borderline paranoia. And this Melody girl seemed frightened in a way, as much as she tried to be confident. He couldn't tell her feelings for sure.
"Well, Melody, do you want to sit down?"

"Yes...my..."
She struggled with the appropriate phrase. My lord? Your majesty? Liege? Sire?
"Umm..."
She finished sloppily. Her face lit up along with her bracelet. She took a seat next to Drake, fumbling awkwardly with that loose string. She didn't look Drake in the eye. She just waited for someone to speak.

"You are nervous, but we trust your skills are adequate for the mission we have prepared for you. We can further discuss your compensation later, but please inform..." Juni paused, also baffled as to what Drake's title should be. Prior to Melody's arrival, Juni only had to address Prince Drake as 'You'.
"...Please inform The Leader of all your skills and abilities. It would benefit him to know how you will defend him."

"The Leader"...I'll have to remember that!
At this point, she looked Drake in the eyes. His simple green eyes beguiled the noble behind them. She dropped her gaze to her wrist and slowly curled up the left sleeve, revealing a bracelet.
The band was a reddish-gold color from the light of the minuscule fire in the glass orb on top of the bracelet. The fire was no bigger than the top section of Melody's finger. "This bracelet is my strength," she said softly. "This fire is power. It's part of my spirit, and as long as I'm alive, it stays lit. I'm a pyromancer, Leader. I conjure and manipulate fire." She finished with a line she often used to instill confidence in herself and her employer, "If anyone gets close to you that you don't want nearby, they'll quickly find themselves burned."

Gentt sauntered into the bar. He hood was down. He wasn't afraid of being noticed. Those who knew him, knew to be afraid and those who didn't weren't worth worrying about. His keen eyes scanned the room looking for the adorable red-head. Sure seemed like a bit of ice queen and a bit underaged but in a few years... best to lay some ground work. Hmm wonder who the other two are. one must be the Prince probably the one with the hood. The blonde looked cute from behind.
Gentt made his way over and taking Juni's hand said, "Miss me?" Gentt then looked the Blonde and Prince up and down. Not bad. "So , when are we heading out and what's my reward?"

While Drake had been fine with Melody and how gentle she seemed, he was nearly stunned into silence by this new man's actions. Having his hood down, looking at Melody strangely, even holding Juni's hand... Drake was sure that this man was just a bit suicidal at heart, or he just didn't know Juni. He was so surprised by this that he forgot to tell Juni that he did not appreciate his new title at all.
"Excuse me?" Drake managed to spit out. "Um... are you sure you want to join us?"

Gentt turned his head to the Prince. Hmm, kinda cute. Gentt put on his most charming smile. He pulled Juni under the crook of his arm, she hadn't complained yet. He shook his head, revealing his scar. A few of the bar patrons who had been trying to hear quickly turned away at the sight of the scar. He held his hand out for Drake to shake.
"I'm sorry I didn't catch your name, what was it? And of course I'm joining it seems like a very good cause and all that. Plus if what this little lady" motioning to Juni, "delivers what she promised, everything will be fine."

...
"If you were not an ally, Gentt, I would murder you. I will advise you to stop touching me, and properly introduce yourself. And bribes we have made shall remain a secret to The Leader until the completion of your mission."
Juni pulled herself free, watching Gentt closely. Some might say the glare she had in her eyes was love, but it was truly the essence of an anger that has existed for 1000 years.

The sudden and abrasive arrival of Gentt completely threw out the confidence she just tried to instill in herself. He usurped her attention of Drake and the focus shifted to this man of bravado. She shied away, tucking her face in the folds of her hood.

Gentt let go of Juni, but tossed a wink at her. Acting as if this was a show, he took a bow, and grabbing Melody's hand he kissed the inside of her wrist.
"Mademoiselle, it is my pleasure to me you, I am Gentt LeRoux, and I will be lending all of my resources to help with this mission. Might, I say you are looking very lovely."
Gentt then dropped Melody's hand and turned to Drake. He grabbed Drake's hand and kissed the inside of the wrist like he had just done with Melody, then whispered in his ear. "In case you didn't catch it my name is Gent." Pulling back he addressed Juni, who he summarized was the real leader of this group. "His name's the Leader? Reallly? Now Darling we are going to be together for quite some time, don't you think we should be a bit less informal?" He turned to Melody, "Don't you agree beautiful?"

OOC: Cause Melody is reeeeeeally boy-shy, she would never "let" him do something like that, so pardon the following:
A tingling feeling erupted in Melody's stomach when Gentt gripped her wrist. She was in such shock, she couldn't manage any words to stop him from getting his lips closer to her skin.
The fire in her bracelet sparked brightly under her cloak sleeve. She slapped at the hand holding her own, an obvious heat in her strikes.
Melody drew her arm back quickly and began rubbing where he had touched. "Please..." she muttered timidly, "...don't do that."

Drake felt as if fire were burning up his cheeks when Gentt kissed his wrist, as if Melody had used a spell on him to make him feel like this. While some noble traditions involved kissing, it was never that sudden, and never that strange. He pulled his hand away quickly and tried to move his hood that it would hide the state of embarrassment that showed on his face. He didn't want to be near Gentt at the moment.
"Um... nice to meet you... Gentt."

...Intent to kill...
Juni walk as casually as possible behind Drake, trying to draw in Melody and Gentt with her desperation. She pressed silently onto his shoulders, hinting that she wanted him to duck low in a chair. Without daring to look behind above her, she began to whisper almost completely inaudibly.
"Melody... Gentt... Do not look, but approximately 3 meters above and 2 meters behind us is an assassin I spoke to before. I only assume he's arrived to claim Lord Drake as his reward. There's a clear intent to kill. Be cautious, and take out the assassin."

Melody recovered from her shock from Gentt only to feel extremely nervous when Juni told her of an assassin in the bar.
Take him out?
"Umm..." she started quietly, "...my spells aren't all that subtle..."
Which was entirely true. Fire is wild. And bright. To launch a fireball at the assassin would draw attention to everyone in a bar, and those outside, seeing as how it would light the building on fire.
She had the daggers hidden in the folds of her dress, but she was no expert on stealth. Plus, she didn't have the audacity to walk up to a man and stick a dagger in his neck in a empty room, let alone a crowded bar.
"I...I don't know what you want me to do."

He'd never been one for crowds, truth be told, but Luka had his mind set on this task was going to go through with it. He'd only starting passing through town on the night of the murder but news traveled quickly. He'd met up with Juni after he'd gotten wind of this situation.
Fairly tall, Luka could see over the heads of many of the seated patrons of the bar. Not long after he'd recognized Juni he realized how astute she looked, a bit more so than when he last saw her. Apathetic gazing going towards the ceiling he spotted a suspicious looking character on the rafters, sighing to himself.
He took his right hand out from under his cloak, a golden bracelet on his wrist with a lovely white gemstone and an equally beautiful one of a true green. With a few simple wrist turns a small wind started building around the assassin.
Luka clenched his hand into a fist. A small gust of wind hit the back of his head with enough force to knock him out. If the body were to wobble and fall the magic-using swordsman would attempt to manipulate the air around the assassin so that instead of falling forward and behind the table that he would fall to his left and land on the wooden board that made for one of the rafters.
He closed his eyes for a moment, feeling his gut wrench at the thought of another life being taken, yet this was his mission and he was adamant on going through with it. He hadn't killed him, even though he could do so, because he rather disliked the though to doing so.
The dark auburn-haired young man made his way to the small group, throat closing up due to nerves (he was never a people person, you see, and the presence of the strangers in the bar unnerved him a bit). He looked around, slightly nervous, before stopping in front of his future comrades with a stone face. Rather, he looked more tired than serious, though perhaps his expression could be perceived as a bit aloof. His dark green cloak hid the sword at the right of his hip.
"...My name is Luka Vanhanen. I am a swordsman from Rothens," he told the group in a neutral tone, eyes on Lord Drake. Rothens was a woodland country due northwest of Ilebana. "Use me as you will, erm... my Leader."
He'd looked around for a brief second, noting the bar's crowd and not trusting them one bit. Not surprisingly he decided to leave off his formalities. He gave a small bow, bending only a bit forward at the waist, eyes closed and hand on his chest.
(((EDIT: Sorry if the first draft was a bit godmoddy. I felt it was appropriate to go ahead and kill him off; it's his job, right?)))

(OOC: Griffin, everyone I'm soo sorry for I guess godmodding, it's my first time RPing, again I'm sorry. Let me know if I get too out of hand. )
Gentt slid his dagger back up his sleeve. He was a little disappointed he hadn't been able to show of his skills. Oh well, there will always be another assassin. Gentt was bored. He thought of doing something shocking, but even he got tired of his own theatrics.

OOC: How did Luka know there was an assassin...? (((He noticed something was amiss when he walked in, spotting him when he looked up into the rafters. He's got a knack for feeling when something isn't right; he tends to be really sensitive to crowds and his surroundings, so when he felt someone was different from the others he took it upon himself to look for the source.)))

Juni turned, ignoring Luka, and focused directly on where the assassin had fallen. Her fingers clasped, and cleanly through thefabric of space time, a blade-like demon tooth sliced the foe's head cleanly in half, pouring blood all over the bar. Having completed the kill, Juni stepped back, and turned back towards Luka to address him.
"Your vigilance is appreciated, but your hastiness is dangerous. Had that been a decoy, we would have been in more bad than good. We have been lucky thus far. Leader, I apologize, for I have underestimated the ambition of the people I spoke to. If we do not leave now, we might be faced with a bad situation. It is your decision if we leave this ground or not."

Luka's face remained unchanged, completely neutral. He knew it was a hasty move yet it was his job to protect the prince. He'd only knocked the foe out and would have killed him if Juni had told him to do so, though it seemed as if the need was taken care of by the female herself.
He rose from his curt bow and blinked once as he looked at her, shifting his gaze around the room, barely moving his head at all. Perhaps some of the men were too drunk to take notice of the blood oozing from the rafters, perhaps not. Surely others would notice.
He looked back to the girl with the vibrant red hair, then to Drake, waiting for orders with apathy played across his facial features.

"Should we not stay and see if there will be anyone else who joins us, Juni?" Drake noted, glancing at the assassin who now lay lead on the floor of the bar, blood oozing into the cracks in the wood. Drake was not one to enjoy death, and he did not take killing lightly, yet now it was a choice of whose life he cherished more: that of a stranger's or his own. "Besides, I doubt they would send many assassins together, it would draw unwanted attention."

Juni stared off, both listening to Drake and trying to capture the gaze of one woman from across the bar. She met eyes with a dumpy handbag of a withered middle aged woman. Juni blinked her eyes, releasing the Fear of Death spell on the drunken and sweaty woman. Shrills and screams filled the bar, as everyone turned and looked towards the woman freaking out about how she doesn't want to be tortured with hot needles. Juni crouched low, and pulled the body to the corner, while everyone was distracted.
"Team, this is an example of my abilities."
Gently laying her left and right hands on her upper and lower teeth, Juni pushed open her mouth, and detached her jaw. She then broke her own forearms to make new joints which she jammed down her own throat and pushed her esophagus and entire upper body wider, her billowy garment adjusting to her ribcage expanding. Crawling towards the body of the assassin, she wrapped her massive mouth around the corpse, and sliding it into her massive body crevice, she successfully ate the body of the assassin. Juni slammed her arms to the ground, fixing her mutilated forearms, wrapped her arms around her torso, closing the body inside, and shutting her ribcage snug and tight as it was before. Juni then stood up, and picked up her opened jaw, locking it back into place.
"...I can do that once or twice a day. Another assassin comes in, and I won't clean it up so quickly..."
