In the land of Saru, things are at an unsteady peace. The peace that has lasted for years is approached its inevitable end. There are four kingdoms covering the nation of Saru. The northern kingdom, known as Solaris, is Saru’s first great monarchy, ruled by King Doren. A large portion of flatland to the east forms the nomadic land of Tenmau, inhabited by many tribes, each with a commanding warchief. The southern strip of land on Saru is controlled by the rebels of old, claiming the swamplands as the kingdom of Rufare, led by King Merrill. Finally, the western mountains, known as Dularion, are shrouded in mystery. Rumors say that mages not sanctioned by the Mages’ Guild in Solaris flee to these mountains to join a community composed of rebel mages. Rumor also speaks a Mage King who can move the mountains to keep the colony of mages hidden. Solaris is a lush environment, blanketed by rolling meadows and light forests. The only exception is along the borderline. Solaris has the largest amount of untapped resources. Bandits and rebels launch numerous raids to get access to these resources. The consistency of the raids has kept the military garrison high along the border, but it has ruined the environment. The plains of Tenmau are inhabited by dozens of tribes, usually at peace with each other. They trust in speed and stealth as opposed to the rank and file soldiers of Solaris. A few tribes stand high above the rest in power, such as the Ghost Bear, Soaring Hawk, and the Wolf’s Blood tribes. Warchief Wolfson of the Wolf’s Blood tribe holds the highest influence, but all warchiefs hold the same authority. Before Rufare was formed, the southern swamplands were uninhabited by man. A brave explorer mapped these lands and gave them to a rebel leader. This leader persuaded many soldiers to fight with him and together, they led a massive force of the Solarian army into the swamps and killed them. King Merrill is a direct descendant of that same rebel leader. Today, the rebels of Solaris make their home in these swamps. No one has ever preformed a successful invasion due to the difficult terrain which the rebels have had a lifetime to master fighting on. The low peaks of Dularion provide the perfect hideaway from the rest of the world. Only one brave adventurer has ever entered the mountains to explore and come back alive. He mapped the entire area and never found one village or even one man. Others claim to have seen mages in these mountains while others say that they’ve seen the mountains move. None of this has ever been proven. The tale begins with a small group of closely-knit mercenaries, hired by Solaris to help in border defense. Raids have increased in number and brutality over the months and Solaris’s military is running thin. These mercenaries grew up in the streets of Midland, a massive city made before kingdom borders were made. Half rests in Solaris while the other half is In Tenmau. Eventually, these people made friends with each other and helped fight criminals in the city. After years of fighting together, they set out as a specialist team of mercenaries known as the Midland Elite. The Midland Elite has their current headquarters located in a small, abandoned fortress not to far from the borderline of Rufare. ~~~***My Character***~~~ Name: Davian Boyer Age: 20 Gender: Male Class: Thunder Warrior Appearance: Silver/gray hair, neck length in back, blue eyes. Wears reinforced steel splintmail shirt and leggings, sturdy hard leather boots and gauntlets. Weaponry: Davian calls it a Storm Blade. A powerful long sword of quality steel, enchanted with the power of lightning. The hilt it made of powerful wood to prevent electrocution. Skills/Spells: ~Lightning~ Davian can manipulate lightning by calling it from the sky, channeling it in his sword, or shooting it directly from his hand. Using this spell multiple times with little rest can be very draining. ~Forked Lightning~ Requiring far more energy than regular lightning, Davian holds his sword to the sky and a ball of lightning collects at the tip of the sword. He then points it at his foes and lightning jumps out, striking up to five foes. ~Thunderclap~ Sword sheathed, Davian channels energy into his hands and then claps, releasing a loud crack of thunder. Used to intimidate foes. ~Thunder Wave~ Davian plants his sword in the ground and channels energy into it. After the blade glows, he swings the blade in a wide horizontal arc. Waves of thunderous sound emits from the blade, scaring the knocking down enemies. ~Shock~ With a quick jolt on concentrated lighting from Davian’s sword, he can temporarily disable his target from using magic. ~Thunder Storm~ Davian’s ultimate spell, he calls upon his teammates to guard him while he channels massive amounts of energy. As he channels, dark clouds roll in and a light rain begins to fall. When the first lightning appears, Davian breaks his channeling. He can control the direction of the lightning with his sword and control the intensity of the thunder with his mind. History:Davian had parents until he was 7. On a business trip to Midland, he lost them and never found them. A blacksmith took him in for a few years to feed him. He learned skills to repair armor and weaponry and gained interest in swordplay. His true interest though, was the storm. It mystified him. Elements combining into one massive force. Davian found a short cliff a short distance from Midland. Every time a storm came, he went to his cliff and watched it for hours. He learned about it. He mastered it. When he turned 16, he left the blacksmith’s and went out on his own. He lived on the streets by his own accord. He met friends there. They helped each other survive. He fought with them against criminals to earn bounties to survive. Eventually, they formed a mercenary group. They did what they did best to earn what they wanted most. Today, they fight for the Solarian crown. The action? Wonderful. The paycheck? Massive. What could go wrong?

Appearance: Lilliana is small, with dark brown pigtails and matching brown eyes. She wears a red dress with cut up blue jeans and a red scarf. She can also be seen wearing a crystal bracelet on her right arm. Being rather shifty, she also has a knife concealed in her brown boots.
Weaponry: The bracelet concentrates magic to be used flawlessly. The knife is also a well used weapon of hers. In addition to weapons, Lilliana is also quite flexible and can perform smooth acrobatics in the heat of battle.
Skills/Spells:
Kinetic Fire: A standard powerful fireball spell. Can range in power from small to massive, depending on how much energy is devoted to the attack.
Shockfist: A highly concentrated electric attack that escapes through the knuckles at close range. It's powerful, but has no range.
Tornado Bullet: A swirling tornado that appears at any chosen point on Lilliana's body. It can launch large shots of high bursting energy, and can even be used for flight.
Seadragon Drill: A stream of water escapes the palm of her hand, and anyone who steps above the line activates a powerful drill shooting up at the person.
Manipulation of the Color Spectrum: With a clever concentration of magic, Lilliana can change the color of anything to appear as another color. Can be used mostly for disguises.
Removal: By concentrating clearly, Lilliana can use her arms to reach into opponents bodies and scratch organs. With enough effort, she can pull things out from others bodies.
Sound Chains: Visible chains of sound escape her fingers and can be controlled individually like fingers to bind and crush opponents.

Temp thing for now. See if my char makes sense. I've actually had the idea in my head for awhile, but never used it yet.
Name: Aero Smith (Temp name)
Age: 22
Gender: Male
Class: Speed Fighter?
Appearance: Aero is about 5'11. (change my mind on size. Taller = longer legs) He's bald, and has grey/whiteish eyes. He looks more lean than buff, but don't underestimate him.
Aero has armor covering certain parts of his body (look below, and no cup unfortunately). He also has holes in certain parts of his body. These are air holes, where air goes in and out. He uses these air holes to speed up his attacks. For example if he were to kick something, an air hole at the back of his feet would go off, forcing his leg to move forward, which would result in a more powerful and faster kick.
Other than his armor, he also wears orangish clothing (I dunno). This clothing isn't loose, otherwise it would get in his way, but it also isn't very tight either.
Weaponry: Aero has armor cover his arms (doesn't cover upper arms (past elbow) ) and the top of his hands, and armor covering his legs (doesn't cover upper feet (past knee) ) and feet. He uses this armor to bash into people.
Skills/Spells: Aero is more of a melee than magic guy, so most of his skills will be more melee than spells.
Air Jump: Aero sucks in a large amount of air. He can then release this air in the bottom of his feet to make him jump higher. He can also use this technique to bounce off of walls.
Air Slice: Aero kicks so fast (with the help of his airholes) that he "slices" the air. The stronger the kick the longer the slice goes, and the more damage it does. Armor Break: Aero breathes in deeply, and then makes all the air come out of all his airholes. This breaks his armor, making him more vulnerable, but faster.
Compression Blast: Aero breathes in deeply, and makes all the air compressed into one part of his body, mainly his right arm. He then lets the air go, and it blasts the opponent far far away. On the downside, this is a last resort move, as it damages his arms.
Tornado Kick: Aero makes air come out of his leg airholes so he spins around in circles. He then spins like a tornado kicking everything in his way.
History: At a young age, one of the Tenmau tribe kidnapped him. They experimented, and make holes all over his body. When whatever they were trying to do didn't work, they left him to die.
Aero fell asleep dying. Couple of days later, he was woken up by a mage. The mage explained that he healed his wounds the best he could. He also said that he gave Aero special abilities too, to make use of the airholes. The mage said he could suck in air from the airholes, and also blow out air.
That night Aero went to bed. He woke up, walked out the door, and ended up in Solaris. He turned around, and the door he walked out of was gone.
He did what he could. He stole when he had to, he fought when he had to. Over the years he picked up things, like acrobats, and fighting. He also gained more control over his air powers. He met people, made some friends. And together, they ended up in the Midland Elite.

Name: Simeon Grey

Class: Chemical Rogue
Appearance: Skinny-ish, tall-ish, grey hair. Wears black clothing for stealth purposes. Wears leather armor underneath the black clothes.
Weaponry: Wicked array of knives he uses to slice up his prey, various poisons that he taint his knives with or slip into enemy supplies. He has experimented with different chemicals in an attempt to make incendiary devices, finally creating a chemical called dynamoglycerin. Very explosive in large amounts.
Skills:
Stealth: Years of theft from stores in Midland has given him superb stealth skills.
Silent Strike: If unseen, Simeon can discreetly kill one foe without making any noise.
Eye Gas: Simeon made a type of chemical gas that causes the eyes to burn. He puts it into a breakable container and lobs it into the battlefield.
Silence Gas: A gas bomb concocted by Simeon that, when inhaled, causes swelling of the vocal cords, preventing speech.
Skin Slime: A corrosion-like poison, Simeon uses this on pinpoint targets with his throwing knives. However, this poison has to be weak to not damage his knives. So, it only is useful when in contact with bare skin. When hit, though, a powerful burning sensation runs through the body.
Artificial Illness: Simeon slips this resilient poison into enemy food and water stores. When consumed, it causes light numbness, stomach and head pains, and wooziness.
Dynamo Bomb: With his own special chemical, dynamoglycerin, Simeon can make bombs of this chemical. These bombs can set fire to areas in controlled quantities or can cause massive explosions in large quantities. Simeon can average three bombs a day with the right supplies.
History: Simeon grew up the son of a famous Midland chef. It was the years in the kitchen that started his interest in knife work. After some time, their restaurant was repossessed. Simeon grew depressed. His life flipped in the months to follow.
By some miracle, his parents got their restaurant back, but were arrested a month later. It turns out that Simeon’s parents stole some many different places to get the money to reclaim their restaurant, but were identified on one of their lasts thefts.
Simeon was left for the streets. Desperately looking for food, he stole in small amounts to survive. Years past. Looking for a more reliable source of money, he became the test subject for a crazed chemist. He was exposed to many types of gases and non-lethal poisons, but was paid well in turn.
After two years, he began to develop immunity to the chemist’s poisons. When snooping about, he overheard the chemist talking to someone. This other man was an assassin. The chemist was going to have Simeon killed to keep his secrets. He knew he had to act fast. The next day, the assassin would be paid. Simeon killed the chemist before he had the chance to pay the assassin.
Simeon forged a note, pretending to be the chemist, and sent it to the assassin, calling off the contract. Simeon gathered the recipes and ingredients from the chemist’s lab. He figured they could be of use. He could sell them.
But something else caught his attention. Living on the streets again, he met a friend. His name was Davian. Years passed and their bond and skills grew. Together, with other friends, they formed a small mercenary company, the Midland Elite.

Appearance: Green eyes, black hair that reaches a quarter down his back, 5'11 in height, robes, sandals.
Weaponry: Tekrias only has a steel dagger at his side for protection. Other than that, his summons should suffice as weaponry.
Skills/Spells:
I'm REALLY too lazy to think up my own summons, so the Final Fantasy summons will have to do.
Ifrit- Coming from the depths of hell itself, Ifrit is the beast of fire, conjuring flame spells and having the ability to rip enemies to shreds.
Shiva- The goddess of ice, Shiva, is an elegant queen with the ability to instantly freeze enemies and create ice whenever needed.
Quezacotl- The legendary bird of lightning (fuck Zapdos! D=<), all skies become dark and stormy when Quezacotl appears. Lightning comes crashing down on enemies, and Quezacotl itself can cause extremely heavy static discharges to whatever enemies come close to it.
Odin- Odin is the warrior of darkness. Riding on his horse, Sleipnir, Odin charges into battle, hacking and slashing away with tremendous power and speed.
Bahamut- Bahamut, the king of dragons, is summoned and flies onto the battle scene, shooting beams of great strength and accuracy from its mouth. Bahamut always leaves a path of destruction wherever he goes, and can carry many people on its back.
Bahamut ZERO- The ultimate summon. Flying among the stars in space, Bahamut ZERO fires a massive beam down upon the Earth. Some say that the beam has the power to sink continents to the bottom of the ocean.
History:
Tekrias always grew up as a lone wolf. His parents cared for him, yes, but Tekrias always kept to himself. His playmates and classmates have always heard Tekrias talking to himself. They thought he was weird, it was like he was talking to thin air.
One day at Tekrias' school, a beastly-dog looking thing with burning furs on its back suddenly appeared at the schoolyard. Earthquakes occurred and small bursts of lava shot up all around the beast, and the school was quickly destroyed.
No one linked the incident to Tekrias, who also seemed to not know what happened. It is not until his parents told him that he had a special ability... the ability to summon great beings of every aspect imaginable. His parents quickly taught him how to harness the ability.
Since then, Tekrias has been living a peaceful life. No one bothered him, yet no one befriended him. Tekrias has been known as a hermit throughout the land.

Looks good. I don't play FF (or ever shall) but keep the summons vulnerable, the stronger they are, the more time it takes to summon and more energy required, stuff like that.
And for the history, link something to him joining us in Midland.
