You know, I've noticed.
Whenever you brought up spirituality-related subjects, it's almost always very late at night/very early morning for you.

Heh. Thanks. 1/2/08, 5:16 AM "Deism is the recognition of a universal creative force greater than that demonstrated by mankind, supported by personal observation of laws and designs in nature and the universe, perpetuated and validated by the innate ability of human reason coupled with the rejection of claims made by individuals and organized religions of having received special divine revelation." You know, I've always self-identified as agnostic, but. . . more and more, I find myself thinking along these lines. The concept of deism really appeals to me. Maybe deism, tempered by a bit of agnosticism. . . I think that might work for me. So.... What's Deism? >_> And what do we do at that village? I tried clicking, but nothing happened...

@daryl: If I understand correctly, deism is when you believe in a God, but your belief is based solely on reason; this means that you, based on your observations and reason, believe that God did create this world, but you wouldn't believe in being controlled by God (in other words, fate), supernatural revelations (like the Bible and the Quran), and the like (basically, what organized religions believe in). So, in other words, deism is the opposite of fideism (the latter meaning the belief in God based on faith and revelations, like in organized religions). Also, you don't do anything in that city; you just click the link, and the population will increase. That'd help Kev to build in it later on. @alex: Put the link in your sig, so it'd be easier for me to find it and click it

You're welcome.
And people just love making tons of categories for each subject.

WHY CANADIA LUCKY ENOUGH GET MOAR AVATAR EPS AFORE US.
Srsly. I'm all for not screwing over others, but damn. The show is made here, you'd think the least they could do is air it at the same time.
Guess I'm resigned to trolling Google video and Veoh in an attempt to find it.

So I watched the episode, and it was great. I'd fanboy over it more, but it's too damn late/early, and I'm really tired.
Peace out, y'all.

1/6/08, 5:45 AM ((Warning: For those of you that watch the show, there are mild spoilers for the Avatar episode "The Firebending Masters" in the links.)) Upon a second viewing, I have realized that episode 3x13 of Avatar, while awesome, is also the gayest gay to have ever gayed. That is not meant as an insult in any way, shape, or form. I've said that about the various Metal Gear Solid games, as well. But seriously, in an episode that has this and this, how can you think anything different? Also, Goku and Vegeta Aang and Zuko do the Fusion Dance. Well, okay, not really, but it's close. Also, being sick sucks. Pain in the ass to get to sleep. Looks like I'll be napping through most of the day again.

For a kids' show? Yes. Let me quote a line that goes with the first image: "Zuko, get over here! I want you to dance with me!" Gaaaaaay.
Thanks. I'll do my bes.

Damn you nick! You should show the videos!
I really hated the quality. At least it was better than some of the other ones I watched.
And first image wasn't that gay. Second one was pretty gay. I started laughing when I saw that. Also Zuko lost his stuff. Lmao.

How to have a Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn experience like Kev.
1: Purchase FE:RD at a local electronics shop. Keep mad glee at finding the last copy secret.
2: Drive home, coveted prize in hand, swear at asshole drivers.
3: Wait for younger sister to finish with TV.
4: Wait LONGER for little sister to finish with TV.
5: Eat dinner. Sigh at delay.
6: Snag TV after dinner. Kindness be damned, you have a new game to try out!
7: Try to load FE:PoR stats to new RD savegame.
8: Fail. Console and game system lock up.
9 Try again.
10: Fail. Console and game system lock up.
11: Get somewhat pissed off. Transfer PoR data to different memory card.
12: Try again.
13: Fail. Jump to assumption that there is a problem with the console.
14: Say "screw it", play RD on Normal setting without uploading data.
15: Get thoroughly whupped. Decide to switch to Easy.
16: Check online later for fixes for game-crashing uploading glitch.
17: Realize that because you are a fucking pansy and played PoR on Easy, you cannot upload data to RD. Sucks to be you.
18: Smack self in forehead. Repeatedly.

@ki: From laughing, I hope? 'Cause it'd suck if there was a different reason.
@illidan: It's not the difficulty that was bothering me. At least, not directly. It's the fact that for the first 5 chapters (at least), you have to protect EVERYONE, not just your main characters. Add to that the fact that enemies seem to be so much more powerful than your party right from the get-go (which is a jarring change of pace from the last three games), and you have a pretty frustrating experience. After losing Laura and/or Micaiah for the nth time, I said "Oh forget it" And went to the easier setting.

Well, that's at least kind of good, then.
1/10/08, 8:54 PM
My class schedule this semester is, for lack of a better term, schizophrenic. Swear to god, it's just all over the place.
Monday: 11:00 - 3:00 Tuesday: 1:00 - 3:00 Wednesday: 11:00 - 3:00 Thursday: 6:00 (PM) - 9:00 (PM) Friday: 9:00 (AM) - 11:00
Crazy. I'm not going to be at all surprised if I end up going nuts sometime in the next few months.

Campus only opens at 8:00. The class I'm in now is one of the earliest possible classes to take. Plus, I have a half-hour drive to get in here, so however much time I need to get ready in the morning, I have to add a half-hour onto that. So I have to be up by 7:30 - 8:00, which sucks.

Well... it could have been earlier... not in your college, but someplace else.
Oh well. At least you only have that early once a week, and not all the week.
Thursday and friday are weird for you, though. Otherwise, it's not oh so schizo. You should be able to last without going too crazy.

Really, it's the huge disparities between Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday that are gonna drive me up the wall. But I'll cope.
Also, I got myself involved in a religion thread on a different forum. We'll see how it turns out, but considering the average intelligence of the forum-goers there, I'm not expecting anything but wank.

You'll get used to it. If you're going to go crazy, it's in the beginning, but then you'll be fine.
Hmm... Those tend to be funny, especially when those involved are a bunch of idiots. Mind sharing?
