The screaming grew in intensity as everyone gathered around the door, and while the door handle didn't seem to be hot, the school lights flickered and died, allowing those still in the hallway to see that there were shadows dancing from under the door. As the screaming continued, another sound, about as eerie as the first, could be heard: nails scraping against the chalkboard, creating a loud squeal.
"We don't have time for this!" Helen snapped, trying to open the door. Sadly, it was locked, but that didn't seem to stop her. Instead of trying to open it, she kicked right near the handle, a loud noise filling the air. It wouldn't take much more to open the door.
OOC: Doing it this way so my character doesn't get all the "fun", but I'll describe what's inside once the door is opened.

Daniel took a step back as Helen tried to open the door. Anticipation welled within him as the screaming intensified, and he mentally began urging Helen to hurry. He looked around distractedly as he waited, and his eyes rested on a shadowed figure who was hardly discernible in the darkened hallway. He narrowed his eyes as he tried to see who it was and why the person was standing there, but it was hard to make anything out. He took a step away from the crowd that had gathered by room 327, hoping to see better. "Hey!" he called out while Helen started kicking the door, somewhere in his background now. "What are you doing?"

Amaya instinctively backed away as Helen replaced Amaya's hand with hers on the doorknob. Amaya stared at the door intensely an ominous feeling started forming in her gut as she noticed the movement of the shadows that appeared through the small crevice of the door. She flinched when she heard Helen's foot slamming against the door in attempt to open it.
Realizing that with more force the door would open faster Amaya started using her shoulder to try and budge the door open leaving enough space for Helen to continuously hit the door. Amaya considered using her bobby pin to click the lock open knowing she did it numerous times to escape the house but she dismissed it knowing it would be a complete waste of the time if the school's lock was incompatible with her bobby pin.
Amaya started to feel her shoulder numb down into a dull pain as she hit the door a few more times. She prepared herself for another beating to the shoulder until she heard Daniel's voice shouting into the hallway. Amaya squinted her eyes trying to see who Daniel was referring to only see an ambiguous figure.
Who was it? Amaya pushed herself into the door again. Maybe one more rough push would do it.

As the lights flickered and died, the people surrounding room 327 became vague silhouettes to Quentin. They were dancing puppets of the seeping light emerging from behind the door. He watched them, incapacitated by a sudden and unbreakable chill that tore through his bones in deft accompaniment to the animalistic scream and the screech of desperate fingernails. He stared on, frozen in his terror. It wasn't until he heard Daniel call out to him that the shock broke away. From there, he didn't know if he should turn and run, or call out a response. "I-I..." he stammered, though probably not loudly enough for anyone to be able to hear him. As another scream resonated through the door Amaya was breaking, Quentin darted over to Daniel and asked in a shaken whisper, "Wh-what's happening?" His eyes darted frightfully toward the door as Amaya rammed it once again.

Daniel shrugged. "I don't know," he said carelessly. "Someone's screaming in there and we're trying to get in and help..." His voice trailed off as his eyes moved back to the door. It had to open soon. He walked away from Quentin, back towards the group.

"Good luck to you all, but I'm going to get a firefighter to come in and get you all out before we're all charred to death. Adieu." Luctes said snidely as he nervously paced towards a staircase that lead to the exit.

Amaya sent Luctes a pensive look. She couldn't blame him for thinking the logical way out and getting a professional for some help, but they were here now and whoever was inside the room needed help fast. She gave him a lingering look before pushing herself against the door one last time. With a loud 'clack' the door creaked open.
Ignoring the pain that was settling on her arm, Amaya looked toward Daniel for she was at a loss for what to do next.
((I was waiting for someone else to get the door open, but considering the lack of replies I just opened it. I hope you guys don't mind. ))

I would be fine either way as well although it'll be difficult to explain the sudden disappearances of the characters unless we can somehow seamlessly tie that into the storyline? I think the final call is up to you though, GE. Cetasaurus I think you should I would hate to leave anyone behind. |

Continue as is, anyone who doesn't return dies in the storyline. That's my vote, but feel free to disagree.

Kill them all in one go! Right away! This was my first thought: "The group hesitated when the door flew open, then all rushed in to see what had happened and what they could do. By now the screaming had stopped, but before the group had a chance to take in their surroundings, a second explosion sounded! Pieces of debris flew through the air, conveniently impaling |

I think that sounds great. It really makes the moment more serious and the characters will be forced to realize they're not in a laughable situation.
Plus this way we won't have to back track from all the posts we made so far.
