Listening to: Jumping All Over the World - Scooter
I'm out of the hospital, and it feels good. I can actually sleep now (since the bed is comfortable), and I don't have to deal with the patients. It was actually funny, my last full day there, one guy was complaining about being in the hospital two weeks. I almost told him "try two months".
But anyways, I wanted to say something here that will probably end up being important: don't expect me on much, if at all, between October 12th and 16th. If the contest or tournament requires me to be on, I will find a way, but that will be it. The reason is that I'll be travelling back home for the first time since the accident, with my parents' memorial on the 16th. After that, things should calm down, but I just want to put that out now so that if I forget to say something, there won't be any worries.
It's 18 days away from when I go, and I'm excited and nervous as hell. Excited because, well, I get to go home after so long. Nervous because, well, I think the reason would be obvious. There is another way to get to Cochrane that doesn't require going past the place of the accident, but I want to go by. Why? I'm stubborn. Besides, I'm going to have to face it sooner or later.
I also like the increased activity on the forum. It's pretty awesome.

Wow, I haven't posted in this for a while.
The Expendables sucks. I do not recommend it unless you're male and you pop steroids like candy.

Do they make oral steroids?

@lisa: You saw it too?
@griffin: It's time for Wikipedia, and a quote from their page on anabolic steroids: There are three common forms in which anabolic steroids are administered: oral pills, injectable steroids, and skin patches. Oral administration is the most convenient.

Happy holidays to everyone at ToM. I'm off to see some cousins and spend Christmas with them. I have to be honest, this year is a dark one, but I know it'll get brighter from here.
Peace all.

Listening to: Puttin' On the Ritz - Fred Astaire
I want to be in bed right now, but no, I currently am staying up. Why? I chose to make jello shooters for this Friday, and I'm waiting for the water that I boiled and mixed into the jello to cool to room temperature so I can add the vanilla vodka and pour said shooters.
...Yes, I have a thing with making jello shooters. I like making them and I make them WELL.
But, anyways. I can't wait for Friday. I want to sleep in again. I also can't wait for next Wednesday to visit the first anime store this far North, in a city about an hour away.
Also, not today, but next Thursday, I can stop the antibiotics to my cat, Harry. He's getting smart now. He won't open his mouth now to the trick I was doing. I'm not sure how much longer I can get away with it.

~sigh~ Just think, when we met, we were 13 and not influenced by alcohol. Oh well, times change!
And just call Katie, she'll tackle the cat, and medicine can be done easy.

And they're yummy.

Alex, how old are you? It isn't legal to drink delicious, delicious alcohol until the age of 21. How would you know the flavor? I'll report you to your local authorities, and we'll work together to rehabilitate your life.

Come on Alex, let's be honest here. Also, Brandon, I don't know about your laws, but in Canada it's legal for someone who is 13 to drink, as long as they're in their own home and under the supervision of their parents. Also, they can't get drunk.

What really? I didn't know about the 13 thing.
Anyways when I turn 19 I can cross the border into Canada... and do legal things!
I mean I'm already 19. I'm 22.

Sunday, Feb 13 - 12:26PM
I have to get over to the lake in about half an hour to sell beer tickets for around four hours. Yesterday, I was out five hours and it was around -20, but today it's only about -5. That doesn't include the windchill, but it shouldn't be too bad, especially considering I'm in a tent. The worst part is the people. I lost about $15 because some jackass bitched me out for selling him the wrong amount of tickets. Sorry hun, I sold you the right amount, you're just a giant dirtbag.
In other news, I'm almost ready to bang my head against this glass table. Research has shown me what happens if you suffer a broken femur and there's still a gap around a year later.
It's a fucking bone graft. Fuck. Fuck fuck fuck no.
I want it to heal so bad. I go through about 4L of milk (about a gallon for all the American members) a week. I know it's a lot, but I'm determined as hell.

March 13th, 11:53 AM Listening to: Get It Up - Mindless Self IndulgenceI really need to rant a little. You don't have to read this, I just need to say it. So, my spring/summer is looking a bit on the silly side with the amount of events taking place. Now, before anyone says "oh, well, I usually do a lot more", my summers (with the exception of spending almost all of last summer in the hospital) are normally peaceful, with only a few trips in them. The first event is the Ducks Unlimited dinner and auction on April 9th. Go look up DU if you don't know what it is. I'm a volunteer (specifically, the youngest treasurer/secretary this chapter has ever had), and once this is over, my house won't be filled with random junk. However, the event is stressful as hell, as are the two weeks leading up to it. I'm still looking forward to it, though. Then from April 21 to the 25 (or the 26) is my "going away to Easter hell" time. Now, I'll begin by saying that while my dad's side of the family is almost entirely Catholic, I've gone to Unitarian Universalism. Long story short, I don't exactly celebrate Easter, but some members of my dad's side of the family might kill me if I said that. So, I'm going to see my evil aunt and uncle for Easter, because I saw my awesome aunt and uncle for Christmas. Actually, my evil aunt called in the course of me writing this message. She refers to me as her child... fuck. I have to deal with this, badly, and it's probably going to come to a head at Easter. But anyways. From May 9-12, I actually go back to the city where they live, except with my best friend/fellow ToM member Katie/Confused Philosopher. It's going to be helluva fun, but... I go back from the 15-18 for a medical appointment with my orthopedic surgeon and second visit with my two favourite people in the whole entire galaxy. -_- I'm really only looking forward to this because I find out if my leg healed properly. Note to readers: Yes, by the time I see Mr. Surgeon (May 16), it will have been almost a year since I broke my femur on July 2. Yes, they do take that long to heal. Moral of the story? Never break your femur. Not even on accident. Thankfully, I get a break, or so I hope. I know I'm being invited to two weddings which are probably in May, and not only do I start a summer course (online) in May, I have to begin packing/preparing for a massive garage sale. In late June (as in, 28th), I'm expecting to have family travel up to my hometown in order to be here for July 2nd. I'm hoping everyone spends as little time as possible here, unless they've gotten the cool stamp of approval. I don't want to deal with crying and drama and bullshit. However, a possible hilarious event could take place. Katie (mentioned above) and my uncle Mario (the evil one) have a hate/hate relationship. You see, he absolutely loathes an independent woman who will stand up to him (which she did). She loathes misogynist men who feel as if they have to control women and ignore them. You see a problem, I see this as an opportunity for comedy. (No, I'm not evil. Mario honestly needs someone to tell him off badly, and she's more than willing to be the one to do it.) However, after this, the summer gets very fun. In late July, I'm seeing some of you in good ol' Cochrane. And then, from August 20-27, there's a very good chance that I'm going to Disney. Fuck yeah. So... yeah. It should be interesting.

So, my life is currently up in the air at this point. I'm waiting for a doctor's appointment this coming Monday, which will decide if I'm healed or if I'm going to need to look into things that I really don't want to talk about right now. I'm looking forward to the actual appointment, yes, but just because I'm so hopefully to get good news.
I'm sure I will, but the what if is killing me.
In other news, I started an online course to prepare me to go back to university. It's fun.
Also, holy new members, Batman.

But I don't wanna.

Has anyone here ever seen Video on Trial? I'm pretty sure it's Canadian only, but it's hilarious. Five comedians look at five videos and rip into them.
I think the members here could do that quite well.

"Don't worry, it's me, God. Will you reach over this dead body and take the wheel?"
This was one of few lines in my most recent nightmare. I've ended a very close friendship, and I was at what seemed to be a sushi bar with said friend, her parents, brother, and some friends. I sat alone, and eventually left. I was picked up by someone we both knew, and they offered to drive me home.
I accepted, and while we were driving down my road, I was told that line. The car began to move, there was a truck, and...
I hate nightmares.
