Emiko got knocked back, just as she had finished her spell. She fell back, and remained on the ground for a while, dazed and stunned from both the spell and the fall. Despite her state, Emiko thought she heard someone yelling. And then...
"And the winner today - Emiko!"
I... won..?
Emiko sat up, still in a daze. She looked around for Brutus, and found him lying on the ground. He must have been the one who yelled. Emiko couldn't believe her luck; she had just won, when she predicted her loss.
"I won!" The young mage exclaimed joyfully, and tried getting up, but fell back again from dizziness. "Ouch..."
