So a few days ago, my friend posted a contest in tumblr that anyone can enter, and with a tangible reward no less.

I figured I'd submit something, because I know I'm at least a half-decent poet and her art is really good.
I send in my poem, and a few days later I quickly make a comment asking if she received it. She states that she had, and that it was winning the contest.
Because it was the only submission.
Today I gave her a haiku. I'm getting that prize even if I have to submit all thirty poems myself.
So the Captain does decrees
Here’s the deal.
NONE of my followers respond to my welcome not I post. Except for the rare bird who never talks to me ever again. BUT I am now being followed by the same number of blogs I follow and THOUGH it is a pitiful number I have decided to go a GIVEAWAY for you sorry sacks of not-talking-to-me.
SO what I’m going to do is as follows:
Submit to me a small poem, you can reblog this post with it, send it in an ask or fanmail, or get creative I have all my contacts in my sidebar. It doesn’t matter how long it is you just have to write it yourself. The goal is to get my attention so using my interests would be a good idea.
You can submit one poem but I don’t expect to get many at all so actually just go at it, give me everything you’ve got.
I will judge these poems based on if I like them or not looking at clever rhyme and rhyme scheme, allusions, humor, depth, and whatever else I see really. (Limericks are poems and I do enjoy them if they be witty)
If I choose your poem you will receive one piece of writing or art by me in your chosen medium, digital or traditional, pencil or watercolor.
This will go on until I reach 30 poems (something that absolutely will NOT happen) or by Christmas
