And, with simple tactician gone, we can move onto the finals!
Celia vs. ProMetaAnaTelo
Before talking about them, let us remember some stories that have departed thus far...
Club Sandwich... "I was a turkey once, when I was younger and much more naive." [unrelated title]... "He could still feel it as a hot, satisfying sensation slowly moving down his body." Kalvin's... "“I’ll get you for this, you bitch. I’ll gut you like a pig” His voice rang through her head." Great and Terrible Things... "The crone, facing away from Lawrence, gingerly lifted a small chest, stroked the lock, and opened it." Flames of the Family... "I have never seen my dad touch my mom in any sort of way, so I was stunned to see him pick her up by the shoulders and hold her against the wall." As Though The World Ended... "His hands caressed her cheeks and held on onto her, as though afraid to let go." Was It a Dream?... "I hear the high hum of the Firestone against the bridge itself, singing a single note, until we hit the blacker pavement again, and the hum drops in both pitch and volume." The end or a Beginning?... "I have a date with what will be the rest of my immortal life." Grandma's Little Book... "Less than an hour later, I get a call from my mother, who is barely audible through her screams and gags."
Onto the final 2. Both of you have until November 21st to finish your stories. Wrap them up with a bow, because this is the FINAL chapter! Come November 22, if you aren't finished, then whoever does have their chapter up wins. Again, congrats to the final 2, may the best writer prevail.

Final chapter? That means we have to close up the story completely or just that this is the last entry for the competition. I plan to continue my story (rewriting these chapters a little) and making it into a novel to do whatever I feel like with. The structure, which is pretty raw right now, needs the story to go on at least ten more chapters.
I guess my question is if I can leave the story unconcluded and just treat this like another chapter.
P.S. I don't want to sound like the cheesy guy, but writing isn't objective. There is no best and Dr. Seuss can be a better writer in some person's eyes than Shakespear-- and that's not a wrong view. Writing is a style of art and art is completely subjective in that it varies between person to person.
I just wanted to point that out so the idea that "the best writer" isn't going to win because he doesn't exist.
And on that note, good luck to Celia and thanks for the competition because this really sparked out a legitimate idea for a novel in my head. I was originally going to make this into a short story with two or three chapters, but the competition has shown me how to add meat to stories-- a skill I've been needing to learn for too long now.

Concluding them isn't necessary, but the message I tried to convey was "finish your chapter by the 21st". It doesn't have to be over, but it has to have a chapter there.
