The tournament floor was empty, but the crowd was filled with excited patrons hoping to see a bloody battle between two great fighters. There were two doors on opposite sides of the arena. One for each fighter to step though. The announcer wasted no time in yelling from the side lines, "Without further delay, let's begin this fight!"
All that there was to wait on was the entrances of the two opponents from opposite sides.

Charles steps into the arena, looking around. No sign of a competitor yet. He strokes his beard and sighs. The crowd watches as he sets his pack down and examines his sword.

Bullets, check. Gun, check. Kyo was ready to fight this one. It had been a while since he was in any battle, so this was his chance. He needed a little warm up from time to time, after all. He went through the door and into the arena, slowly walking towards his opponent, a bearded man who was surely older than him. He quickly analyzed him; sword in hand, large backpack next to him... he probably had items or such. He couldn't tell much for the moment. If he were to know more, the best way to start would be with a little introduction.
"Hello", Kyo politely said, as he stood not so far from his opponent, "the name's Kyo. It might be odd to introduce myself like that just before a battle, but I thought a little politeness before the start wouldn't hurt."
And with that, Kyo took out a bullet from each satchel and belt, and loaded the four of them into the gun.
"In any case, I hope you are ready to fight."

Charles draws the sword from the scabbord and cracks his neck. "Charles Carthel." He nods.
The blade traces across the ground, drawing in the dirt. Charles grabs some supplies from the large bag, resting against a rock and stands ready.
"Ready when you are."

Hm... not a very talkative person. Not that I mind.
With his gun ready at hand, Kyo rushed at his opponent, ready to slash at him.

Charles sees Kyo run at him, wildly. In the absence of response time he ducks and rolls away from the attacker. As quickly as he can he stands back up and swings his sword back down in an attempt to cut Kyo.
(New to this sort of thing. D:)

OOC: if you see that my previous message has been edited, it's because I corrected a minor error that pissed me off when I saw it. And no worries.
Kyo ended up slashing at the air, as Charles just rolled out of his way. He stopped dead track and faced Charles, who had just got up and got ready to slash at him. He attempted to jump back, but he was a tad too slow, as the tip of Charles' sword cut him lightly on the chest. Though it did not hurt, Kyo thought he should be more careful. Acting fast, he took a dash forward and attempted to thrust his weapon at his opponent, aiming for the abdominal area.

"I need those!" Charles yelps as he twists out of the way, avoiding the jab, landing on his back.
His blade ignites and he swings wildly with the flames, inching away to safety.

Kyo took a couple of steps back the moment he saw the sword go ablaze. Getting close for an attack was harder now, what with the sword on fire. He only hoped his bullets could hit. Quickly checking if the bullets are well loaded, Kyo, aimed at Charles and fired. It was a small bullet, the smallest he had, and if it hit, it should give Kyo a chance to attack.
[Poison Ivy: a shot of this “glues” the enemy down.]

OOC: Well... this is unfortunate... Charles has timed out...
And out of nowhere, a hawk swooped out of the sky, lifted up Charles, and dropped him in his nest to raise him as his own. With Kyo as the last remaining fighter, he is the winner.

Haha, I was about to post myself lighting on fire because I kind of gave up interest.
