The tournament floor was empty, but the crowd was filled with excited patrons hoping to see a bloody battle between two great fighters. There were two doors on opposite sides of the arena. One for each fighter to step though. The announcer wasted no time in yelling from the side lines, "Without further delay, let's begin this fight!"
All that there was to wait on was the entrances of the two opponents from opposite sides.

Daryl walks through the door, trying to balance his metal rod on his palm.
Edit: Sorry, I was godmodding.

"Dammit!"
Adnik was pissed, very pissed. The tournament just started, and her magic was still sealed. In fact, she was cursed not long ago, and she couldn't undo it on time. Thus, for this battle, she was forced to fight with a metal rod. If she could manage to win this fight, perhaps she'd have time to take off the curse for the next round...
Assuming she wins with just a metal rod. But she was still going to give it her all.
She took in a deep breath, wondering who her opponent was, and decided to face him/her. She went through the door and into the arena, and walked towards the center, her determined eyes gazing at her opponent.

Daryl quickly noticed his opponent enter, and felt a wave of fear spread throughout his body. Not knowing what to do, he backed against the wall and held his metal pole diagonally in front of him.
"Uh.. Hello, how are you? "

Adnik blinked a few times, watching Daryl backed against the wall. Maybe the metal rod would suffice after all.
"Uh... hi", she awkwardly said, "you know uh... it's not really the time to chit chat, as much as I'd like to talk. Are you sure you want to do this?"

Daryl was relieved to see she'd replied instead of, as he was expecting, impaling him.
"Yeah... I'm sure. I joined this thing before I really knew what it was, and I'm a bit overwhelmed by what I'm up against... I've never even been in a fight. I'm just a bit scared, is all. How do you feel about the whole thing? Are you here to execute me? "

Adnik was clearly bothered. Anyone who wanted to join a tournament should know what it was about beforehand, especially when it was something as serious as fighting.
"Yeah, I'm here to execute you alright", she said, sarcastically, "this isn't a playground, and I'm not here to fool around, even with newbies."
Metal rod in hand, she thrust it, aiming for Daryl's solar plexus.

Terribly frightened at this, Daryl ducked to his left, blocking his head with his arm and crouching. He heard the metal rod hit the wall behind him, and turned to pick it up as fast as he could.
With one rod in each hand, and fearing for his life, he ran toward Adnik, wildly flailing the rods in front of him as fast as he could.

OOC: Yeah, Daryl... edit your post to be fair. See the list of rules I typed out for KM8. There's a limit to how much control you have over your opponent.

She thrusted it at me! How do you thrust something without letting go? OOC: www.youtube.com/watch?v=YWUWYm-kB2UQuite easily. Also, do any of these definitions mention letting go? I know you love correct spelling and grammar. •push forcefully; "He thrust his chin forward" •press or force; "Stuff money into an envelope"; "She thrust the letter into his hand" •lunge: make a thrusting forward movement •force: impose urgently, importunately, or inexorably; "She forced her diet fads on him" •push: the force used in pushing; "the push of the water on the walls of the tank"; "the thrust of the jet engines" •pierce: penetrate or cut through with a sharp instrument •stab: a strong blow with a knife or other sharp pointed instrument; "one strong stab to the heart killed him" •force (molten rock) into pre-existing rock •drive: the act of applying force to propel something; "after reaching the desired velocity the drive is cut off" •verbal criticism; "he enlivened his editorials with barbed thrusts at politicians" •throw: place or put with great energy; "She threw the blanket around the child"; "thrust the money in the hands of the beggar" •jab: a sharp hand gesture (resembling a blow); "he warned me with a jab with his finger"; "he made a thrusting motion with his fist"

I see! In that case I also call shenanigans. I have it from ST himself that the ring is ten feet in diameter, and at no point was it said nor implied that Adnik approached me.

OOC: No, it's not 10 feet in diameter. You were 10 feet away when you begin. If it came off that way, I apologize, but it's much larger than 10 feet.

In either case, the point was that we were ten feet away, much too distant for a thrust
How large is the ring? Is it a ring?

I don't know why you think that, Laura. Is it because you don't like my fighting style? Because you think I don't deserve to be in a RPing tournament? You've always had a nasty habit of resorting to personal attacks when you have no other points to offer in a situation where you're mad at someone.

OOC: Fine. I'll redo my post.
Metal rod in hand, Adnik ran over to Daryl really fast (like a Boss), and she thrust the rod at him, aiming for his private parts. She was wary of his reaction, and would be ready to defend herself were he to dodge her attack.
OOC: Detailed enough, Daryl?

You've always had a nasty habit of resorting to personal attacks when you have no other points to offer in a situation where you're mad at someone. 1. You godmodded. I don't care who it is, I don't like it when people decide to be cheap. I would like to think you have enough command of the English language to know what a thrust is. 2. You entered with a self-insert that had a weapon which I can honestly call a joke (and I know people will agree). 3. Your only RPing experience is from Eat, and when you were offered help to be a better role-player, you refused. So no, I don't think you should be in this tournament.

I godmodded? I think it's pretty obvious from the following discussion that a misunderstanding took place. To play off what happened as godmodding is only cheap and dishonest.
And yeah, I did a self-insert, and yeah, I equipped with the only object I happened to be near in real life at the time I entered, and yeah, I didn't originally plan on even showing up for the fight. But the point is I got assigned with the only person in the tournament I realistically had a chance against, and decided to show up and play the best I could.
Experience is irrelevant. Everyone has a starting point.

Everyone has a starting point. 1) It's still godmodding because Kinda fixed your issue with her, and you haven't fixed what you did. 2) Remember dressing like a whore? You're getting pinched, and you like it, because you're only here for the drama. 3) Most people generally start with actual characters...

It's not godmodding because once the misunderstanding was realized, the action obviously no longer applied. Moreso, Kinda's redone her post, so mine clearly isn't valid anymore until I follow up on it. And once again, it's not godmodding because godmodding implies an intentional act on the part of the godmodder.
What? ..
I am not here for drama. I am here to fight Adnik, and I am here to try and survive as long as possible. I do not like the drama, and am quite pissed at my own perception of being picked on for superficial facts about this situation. Example? I make one honest mistake and three people attack me, Laura snarling with bare teeth.
It is not a requirement, and I am not most people. I feel most comfortable with myself, myself being the person I know best. I am not up to the task of maintaining separate personalities.

Daryl, since the second you were put on the roster, you have been seen as absolutely nothing but trouble. If you actually want to learn to role play, I'd suggest you get some private training first, because the fight that we've had so far is unnecessary. There are certain implications that Role Playing has that you need to get comfortable with. Might I recommend training fights?
Now, I acknowledge that Kinda wasn't 100% clear with her movements, but you also have to account for a certain level of implications. Kinda writes short posts, so her unnecessary actions are implied.
I don't want to fight you. I really don't. But you're causing a LOT of tension between yourself and everyone else, so I'm going to HIGHLY recommend you take a 4 day course in RP training from me and Griff, if he's willing. Then you can get back to this fight.
(Also, if you had given your character a different name... that would've eased a lot of tension off of you...)
