So I've never participated in one and I was just wondering how they work. I know.... you create a profile.... that's all I know. x.x Sorry to bother. =\

Well the best answer, I guess, is to read the battles. See how the moves work, how each person gives and takes damage, works against or with what the other is doing.

What Griff said. There's no instruction manual for it, you just learn by trying.

Hm. Thanks then, I'll check it out. 8) How is magic used though? What's the six spell maximum thing?

The six spell maximum means that you can only sign-up with six spells per character. This is done so that you can't use an infinite amount of spells that others may not know, and you could create on whim to put your character at an advantage.

And what kind of spells you make is completely up to you. And cause its magic, you can make generally whatever the hell you want. :3

That's neat. Thanks for the information then. I'll watch some battles and... find out if anything else confuses me I guess. 8)

I think all has been said, but this is my basic format for tournaments:
Pick attacks that aren't completely overpowered.
Don't be the one to decide if your opponent gets hit or not.
Know when to dodge and when to have an opponents attack hit you.
Keep the actual action of the characters limited to like, 3 to 20 seconds, based on how close you are to the opponent (Like, if you've got close hand to hand combat, you wouldn't want to do a complex preparation spell that would take 30 seconds, because your opponent is right in front of you, and that character needs an opportunity to react in that span of time.)
Obey physics to a fault. Like... laws of gravity apply unless you have a spell that lets you disobey gravity. Stuff like that.
Be creative. This might just be me personally, but try to do the least expected things in fights. Nobody likes fights that are predictable.
Have fun. That's the whole point of this whole thing...

Hey, KM8, the Tournament of Mirrors is going to start sometime once the Tournament of Might is done. If you want, it'd be great experience.

Thanks for the notice. I might watch this one through though. I have a lot of other things I need to do this week. Sorry. 8(
