Hello everyone. I have nothing to do with, and I am very angry, and I now listen to another While it is not done it. Similarly, to my pleasure, I have this file from English into French, German, French into English from Arabic to English and Greek and, finally, always in English. That all this. Goodbye.
Feet.

It was supposed to say "11-26-07
Hello all. I've got nothing to do, and I'm quite bored, so I'm writing another journal entry, despite an utter lack of anything to do. Also, for my own amusement, I am translating this entry from English to French to German to French to English to Greek to English to Arabic, and finally back to English again. That is all. Goodbye.
End. "
I guess the meaning got lost in the translation.

Damn translate.google.com.
Though I found it rather amusing. Especially the fact that somewhere, probably in greek, something got changed to me being very angry, and that "End" turned into "feet".

Well, having installed Ubuntu is finally showing its worth.
I got my motherboard replaced yesterday (finally), and a while later my computer was going real slow, though I'm not sure if it's related. Anyways, even my BIOS were taking about 2 minutes to load up, and I couldn't get anything useful open on Vista, even the System Restore would time out before anything useful happened. So now here I am on Ubuntu, slowness free, atleast.
I'll contact Dell about it I guess, but I'd really rather just do a system backup then reinstall Vista or something. I'm tired of dealing with Dell >_>;; But that system restore could take hours the way it's going now, maybe days.... The CPU is constantly at 100%, which made my computer restart due to overheating for the first time ever. =(

You really don't have much luck with Dell and their computers, do you?

Not really. I'll probably look at alot of brands next time. I've already seen a couple good looking HP ones, but I should look at alot more first.

Besides, if I was a true nerd, I'd try and make my own OS or somethnig.
Hm. Maybe I'll do that one day.

Happy New Year, everyone!
My Martin Luther King Day was pretty fun. I got to sleep in, which was pretty nice. I also had a brownie today, which was quite enjoyable.
I have Midterms this week. Aside from the French one, I think I'll do well enough on them. Only time will tell, though.
I got my new External Hard Drive the other week, after about two weeks of waiting for it to be shipped =)
And, with one tech problem solved, comes another born. Many of you may know of my Dell Battery horrors, and how it wouldn't charge. Well that's mostly stopped, but now the same battery has another crippling problem, which is not likely covered by warranty. My 10 month old 6-cell 53 Watt-hour Lithium Ion Primary Battery is rapidly deteriorating in health. Just about a week and a half ago, I was alerted that it had a very low capacity of 27%. Yesterday, it was at a 16% total capacity. I've contacted Dell Warranty on this, but I doubt this is covered, since all batteries naturally deteriorate.
Still though, it's only 10 months old.... I was using Google Earth the other day, and unplugged just to test battery. I got an estimated 20 minutes for 86% of the battery full.
That's about it, I guess.
End entry.

Fine, it isn't.
Why not call Dell and tell them about it? It's their fault after all, if it's old or broken, right? Or maybe you're gonna have to buy a new battery.
|
|
|
Post by Daryl on Feb 5, 2008 16:04:11 GMT -5
Fine, it is. Well, it's technically not their fault if it's "old" But yeah, their warranty won't cover this "natural" degradation, even if it's only happened so fast because Dell sucks hard.
|
|
|
Post by killerinstinct on Feb 5, 2008 17:01:01 GMT -5
So is it or is it not?
Well, maybe it's broken and not old! Then it's their fault! But anyways, it looks like you'll either have to live with it or get a new battery.... which isn't really cheap.
|
|
|
Post by Daryl on Feb 5, 2008 17:32:06 GMT -5
Well.... I guess it is....
Grargh.... I guess I'll live with it for a while, then get a new one.
By the way, I reinstalled Vista agaian.
