I just got a new desktop, and now have nothing to do with the old one. It is an old Dell Dimension Desktop. 1.8 Ghz, 256 Mb RAM. The mouse and USB ports do not work, also.
Here are the possibilities I can think of:
Pointless Destruction.
Donate.
Recycle.
Sell.
Pointless Destruction again.
Store it in a closet.
Just throw it away.
Put a ton of viruses on it, and then pointless destruction.
Freeze it into a block of ice and throw it off my roof.
Well... That's it. Whichever option will be videotaped by ST, even though I haven't asked him yet. Please vote. Open to suggestions.
Note that if you pick ice, it will be very heavy, and you will personally be responsible if it kills me going up the stairs, or breaks a hole in the roof if I miss.
Pointless destruction includes taking it apart, and smashing, burning, freezing, etc. to random internal parts.

I vote for storing it in a closet. I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE THE VIDEO!

I'm sure that would be a very interesting video indeed, but sadly, thanks to Kinda mostly, it probably won't win.... Maybe I can make a GIF Animation of what it WOULD have looked like at a later time.

Or you could make a video of it in the closet before destroying it, and THEN go with the pointless destruction. Have your cake and eat it too.
Normally, I'd say donate or recycle, but with that many problems, it'd be more hassle than it's worth for the donatee, and none of the parts are really worth recycling, from what you've said. So I cast my vote for "pointless destruction" as well. Just make sure you do it safely. Silicon dust is hell on the human body.

I will try to accomodate Michael, then, by taping it in the closet. I will also do my best to avoid inhalation of silicon, though I'm not making any promises at this point.
And just for the record, the following parts will not be destroyed: The case, the Hard Drive, all wires and tape wires, the spiky thingie, and *maybe* the CD ROM Drive.

Well if you inhale a bit, I don't think it'll cause problems. You should be fine if you be careful.

Selling it wouldn't make a very fun video, now would it?
