"Gregory. Greg is fine." He raises a hand to touch the harmonica but retracts it, knowing better.
"I've always loved the harmonica. I haven't seen one since... since I was a boy. Peculiar, eh? I just haven't come across one...
"Who says I'll pay you in money. I'll stick with you for a week like a bodyguard er summat. I'll..." He pauses. "I'll give you this bag of beans and tuna." He says, lifting the bag. The offer seems strange, but so does the request.

Cleyton watched the old man, somewhat intrigued. "Do you know how to play?" he asked, curiously.

"You two! Shut up!" he hissed at Cleyton and Gregory. "Don't you hear that!?" Reh was referencing the pounding of what was likely a giant foot in the distance.
Reh's eyes shifted green again and he placed a hand to the ground. He could feel the vibrations of the pounding and could tell it was relatively close, but no exact measurement. Too close for comfort though.
"We should prolly get out of here..." he said to no one in particular.

"Well... erm. Not quite. My dad used to play it so well, though. Good ol' blues. Blues he said. These days are the real blues..."
A rumbling. Gregory turns to see a group of demons coming towards them.
"Oh, sonny..."
"We should probably get out of here..." One of them says.

Cleyton nodded at Gregory solemnly as the beats approached. "Look, dude," he said. "I kinda like this harmonica, but I can play for you wheneeever you want." He smiled and disappeared.

"You two can discuss the harmonica another time", Elvina said gravely, as she turned around to where the rumbling was coming from. Danger was approaching, and the rake Elvina was holding wouldn't be able to save anything. It seemed like Cleyton had found his ability, and so had Garrett, but she was still clueless as to what she was capable of, and how to use it. Were they prepared to face a demon? Elvina was expecting the worst...

The rumblings grew louder and louder, until darkness fell over the group for a moment, and a foot slammed into a small building nearby, breaking it as some huge four-legged monster stepped past, not even noticing them as it continued on, another foot passing over them as it sauntered towards where all the malls and the skyscrapers would be. However, while the largest demon didn't notice them, the fact that it completely destroyed what cover they had while hiding in the alley was... bad.
Extremely bad.
Especially when two smaller demons actually noticed the group and began walking towards them. One was the "dinosaur dog tentacle" being that Garrett had been trying to describe to Reh earlier, an arm dangling from its mouth, most likely from the person Garrett had seen trying to fight it. The second was more humanoid, except for the fact that it could have fit in well with Egyptian gods, having the legs of a grossly muscled human, but the upper body of what seemed to be a lion with spikes running down its back, and claws that could match the length of its head.
"Hey guys, you can't talk about a harmonica if we're dead, so let's, I don't know, run or fight?"

Fuck...Reh you know never to take the ammo out of your guns...
He swiftly gathered up his hardware and started reloading everything as he was moving away from the demons.
"Both!" he shouted in response to Garrett. He dashed to the far end of the alley, jamming the clip into his hunting rifle and pulling back the lever, loosing a round into the dino-dog's head. He pulled the lever again, but before firing, laid his two handguns out on a trash can next to him. "Grab these guns someone! Run and shoot!"

"Oh, sonny. Oh! OH SONNY!" Gregory watches the demons come closer.
"Wooooohooooohooohooooo!"
Gregory scurries off and jumps through an open door in an alley. "Hooo... hooo..." He wheezes.
He begins convulsing as he falls to the floor. He continues convulsing as he crawls into a restroom and looks into the mirror. His eyes strained and his body literally jiggling like gelatin.

Elvina fell to her knees as the giant monster passed by, causing earthquakes as it passed. She couldn't believe her eyes as she watched the large beast pass by. But now that demon wasn't her worry; there were bigger problems. Most notable, the two demons approaching. Ron's advice seemed sound, but Elvina couldn't use a gun. She had to find what her ability was. As she ran in the same direction as Ron, she wondered what she would be able to do... for a few years, she was able to practice black magic. Perhaps she could do something with it...

"Mr. Johnson, the deal is final. You either take it or we will force your company out of business."
"No, no Mr. Grodin, no, no we wouldn't want that," Johnson replied nervously.
"I'm glad we understand each other Mr. Johnson." Mr. Grodin pushed "end call" on his cell phone and set it on the table. He picked up his wine glass and sipped it, while closing his eyes. He could imagined Johnson squirming in his chair while he was talking on the phone. He chuckled. He could honestly find no greatest pleasure in the world than to watch people suffer.
"Cheers Mr. Grodin, to another successful takeover," he raised the wineglass to himself and took another sip and drained the last of the dark red wine.
"Stevenson? Could you please get me more wine?" He called out to his butler.
Stevenson appear with a bottle of red wine in his hands. "Would you like to try the bottle of -", halfway through his sentence, Stevenson simply disappeared. The bottle that was into his hands fell onto the floor and smashed into a million of pieces. The dark red wine slowly spread out until it was just a big puddle of wine. It was at that exact moment a voice appeared.
“Hear me, those who remain. There will be seven years of this Hell on earth. It is possible to leave earlier, if you can destroy what Lucifer has brought to your world. Your abilities will save you, but only if that is what you wish to happen. I wish to see you again, my children.”
"God," Grodin whispered. He trembled a little and clutched his armchair. His heart started beating quickly, and his blood pulsing through his veins. It had been many years since something had startled Grodin. This feeling was unusual to him... it was the feeling of fear.
Then a loud crash occurred. Grodin got out of his shocked state and scrambled over to the window. Right outside his gate, what seemed to be a giant blob of slime with two gorilla like arms, had punched it's way through the wall surrounding Grodin's mansion.
"Jesus christ!" Grodin ran away from the window. "Weapons, weapons," he whispered to himself as he ran over to his to where he had a pistol and a gun mounted on the wall.
"Shit I hope this stuff isn't purely for display." Quickly he checked to see if the gun had ammo. He fumbled with it multiple times but breathed a sigh of relief when he found out there was ammo. It wasn't going to last though.
Just then the wall next to him was punched through. By a giant lobster claw.
"Shit shit shit shit," Grodin panicked for a second then ran the other direction. He wasn't going to wait around to be dinner.
"Okay car, should go to car." He stumbled around in the mansion until he finally got to his garage. He ran around trying to find his keys, not realizing that it was pitch black but he could still find his way around.
He opened the door of his blue racing car and hopped in. He pressed the garage remote and the doors slowly slid open. 200 ft away, blocking the entrance was the giant glob monster he saw earlier. It had very tiny beady eyes staring at him. Grodin thought he could see it's pupils.
It started slowly sliding it's way towards Grodin. Looking quickly at the gate, and the monster, Grodin knew he had only one choice. He turned the ignition on. And slammed the pedal.

The swings settled, and Theodore stood, staring catatonic at the emptiness that was before him. The message God sent went unheard, Theodore couldn't hear anything past the pain of losing the people dearest to him. What cruel fate would have him still standing while his family was allowed to ascend without question. Was Theodore not allowed his farewells? Thinking made him sick. Feeling apathetic and dizzy, he wandered from the wooded park, back to his car, only to see a strange creature looming in the distance.
Theodore stood, partially amazed, but still miserable, viewing each individual detail of this large beast in the distance. It was hairless, but stood at what looked to be twice his height. The creature had a colossal torso, thick trunk-like legs, incredibly long and thin arms, a highly raised jaw that could drop down to the floor and possibly eat a lion whole. Apathetic as Theodore may be, he would not wait around to further greet this creature. He opened the often tricky car door faster than he had done before, and put the key in the ignition.
I have to get home... I need to find out what's happening.
Theodore began flying down the road. Many cars had already crashed. Most empty. Passing by another car he saw what appeared to be an elderly woman inside. The road was clear, and he needed answers. Theodore parked his car carefully behind the crashed car of the old woman, and crept towards her driver side window.
He knocked on the glass twice. Knock knock.
The woman didn't reply. She looked to be out cold, face into the steering wheel. Theodore opened her door and began to prop her up, when he noticed that this woman wasn't entirely a woman. As soon as Theodore caught sight of this woman's face, he had immediately noticed it was that of what appeared to be a bat - sharp, jagged teeth. A single bat wing jutting out from her left cheek, her right cheek looked to be an undeveloped bat wing that was trapped to her skin, like webbed toes.
The creature lunged forward, almost biting onto Theodore, but he slammed her car door, catching her neck. Theodore then pushed as hard as he could on this door, constantly fearing the head of what he thought was an innocent old woman that was writing in pain and rage right beside him.
Crack.
This sound filled the air as Theodore push the door even harder, snapping the creature's frail neck. It's head fell limp, and Theodore had no more reason to push the car door. By now, he was sweaty and filled with nothing but fear. I only have 2 more blocks until I get to my house...
"...What's that sound...? It sounds like rioting, or something..." he said to himself quietly, looking around for any signs of life.

Gregory rips off his shirt, crawling away from the sickening sight in the mirror. He ends up in the street again, in front of another demon. It has the body of a human, naked, and the face of...
Tentacles. The demon has tentacles for a head. Gregory feels the slick tentacles grab onto his convulsing body. Suddenly he lets out a roar and grows much larger than what he was. His muscles expand disgustingly and his leg is returned to working condition.
He stands, clothes ripping off of him and falling to the ground in shreds. He stands, naked as well, in the street. The demon steps back, probably shocked.
Gregory grabs it and rips each tentacle off, one by one. It struggles in protest until it finally bleeds to death.
Gregory rushes and crashes through a wall, searching for a weapon to protect the younger ones, adrenaline fueling all actions.
He grabs an oversized shirt, which is the perfect size for him now, and underwear. He turns and sprints (literally) through a few aisles until he finds the frozen foods section.
He grabs a frozen chicken from the freezer rack and crashes through the window and proceeds beating the face in of another unexcpecting, human-sized demon with the frozen poultry.
He stands over the corpse and rushes back to the group.

Cleyton was running from a demon without eyes. Cleyton didn't bother remaining unseen. It had a long snout that hinted at its extreme ability to scent its prey. It was like a cougar without fur, naked skin darker than newly shined black leather boots. Its head, however, was more like that of a dog and extremely disproportionate and large in comparison to the rest of its body. And it could run fast. Very fast. This was Cleyton's simple analysis of the creature. It was faster than he was so he ought to kill it or hide. He wished he had a knife. He could handle one well enough.
Seeing as the creature also had sharp teeth and claws, he decided hiding made for the best option. He ducked behind a dumpster in the alley. Ha! Wretched beast can't fit his big fat head between the dumpster and brick building. Cleyton thought with a smirk as he stood, somewhat pinned between the two objects himself. The ugly, blind, naked beast tried to force his wide snout into the hiding spot. Its nose twitching wildly with being so close to its prey. Suddenly it managed to get just enough leverage on the dumpster to push one end away from the wall, the other end closing in against the wall. And Cleyton was trapped as the beast's massive nose opened his hiding spot slowly but surely. Uh, oh, he thought and tried to jump over the dumpster. He pushed against the wall and made it on top.
The beast seemed to sense its prey had gone somewhere else. It turned its head to point again at Cleyton. He wasted no time. Using his new height over the creature to his advantage, he jumped, trying to land on the creature's back. He landed awkwardly, barely managing to stay on, but stay he did, seated on the thing's shoulders. The beast whipped around, the massive head trying to snap at him. He knew he wouldn't be able to balance up here much longer. He wrapped his arms around the demon's throat, making sure the side of his wrist would cut into its airway. Now it was just a matter of holding on long enough to kill the thing. This could prove quite a challenge. Already his grasp was weakening as the beast thrashed about blindly.
Cleyton was slammed into a wall as the thing hopped about, but still he held tight. Both he and the creature were panting, the creature trying to take breaths while slowly its oxygen-deprived mind was giving up. Cleyton still hanging on for dear life, the demon's front legs buckled and it fell to its animalistic knees. It tossed its head back and forth and tried to scream, but couldn't as the shout remained trapped in its throat. Its massive head hit the ground, and in a final effort to shake Cleyton off, the demon rolled onto its back, trapping him beneath the dying body. The demon went limp. Cleyton released his chokehold, breathing heavily.
He tried to push off the ugly beast, but it was pinning him and only his left hand wasn't trapped beneath the thing's damn head. He finally worked out his right hand and pushed futilely against the demon's massive shoulders. He sighed and gave up, trying to catch his breath beneath the beast's large weight.
He quickly faded from sight as another demon ran past, this one more humanoid, though with a tail and three heads atop long necks, tongues hissing out of fanged mouths like snakes. Cleyton struggled some more beneath the dead beast once it had passed, this time trying to wriggle from beneath. Slowly he managed to get his torso free and slid out much more easily from there. He stood up and held his left side, which had grown sore after the beast's frantic dances into the wall. He walked over to the brick wall and sat against it, just trying to breathe. This actually kinda sucks, he admitted to himself. Blasted demons.
((Wow... that was kind of bad. Does anyone else ever feel like their writing style is affected by their character's personality?))

The car jerked forward, speeding towards the giant green glob. The jelly monster blinked, not expecting this. And then impact. Grodin's racing car slammed right into the middle of the jelly monster... and it got stuck.
"Come on!" Grodin yelled at his car. He held his foot onto the acceleration. Slowly the car inched it's way through the jelly monster until it suddenly burst right through it.
The car bounced onto the ground and kept on going. Grodin somehow managed to keep the car steady as it sped forward.
Behind him the mansion was being destroyed. Monsters all around were tearing it completely down. Grodin looked at his rear view mirror.
"Oh well," he thought "I have the money to rebuild another."

"WHY AM I THE ONLY ONE SHOOTING!?! COME ON!!!"
Reh had offered up this two pistols so others could help him fight as he began unloaded rounds from his rifle into the dino-dog creature, aiming with his green eyes at the creature's face. Though due to its rampaging nature, its head wasn't staying in one place for long so most of Reh's rounds landed in the neck or shoulder. His eyes also noticed Cleyton and the old guy ran off. Well, maybe Cley didn't, but he sure wasn't helping right now.
Reh went through one clip and hastily reloaded, yelling again for someone to take his pistols and start shooting. The creature smashed a dumpster toward Reh and he dove forward to avoid it. The creature roared with pleasure and Reh, from his prone position, managed to get a round underneath the demon's chin. Black blood poured from the wound and Reh smiled grimly. The demon did seem wounded, but it seemed angrier too as it began to charge its attacker. "Shitshitshitshitshit..." Reh hastily looked around, taking in more of the environment from his Hunter eyes. A fire escape dangled above him on the wall opposite to him. He got up, scraping his knee on the ground, but he pressed forward, hopping onto the overturned dumpster that almost killed him and making a big leap onto the rails of the fire escape. He swung his feet up just as the demon was about to snatch them in his jaws. Clambering to his feet, Reh pulled on the lever and aimed a round right into the monster's head, scoring a direct hit. It seemed stunned for the moment, so Reh unloaded four more rounds in the same area of the head. The beast fell on its side, smashing part of a wall in the process.
Tired, bloody, and slightly annoyed but too tired to care, Reh dropped from the fire escape and retrieved his pistols. "Never mind guys...I got it..."

Eventually Cleyton looked up to find he had disappeared. He heard shooting somewhere near him and wondered where Garret and Ron and that one girl were. And the old guy, where'd he run off to? Ron had guns and stuff right? Still invisible, Cleyton walked toward where he'd heard the firing. Yes, there was Ron, bloodied and tired. Cleyton reappeared in front of him, several paces away.
