Okay ToM! We've been without entertainment for a WHILE now. It's time for a NEW idea. After realizing the flaw of Tournaments (Requires everyone to be on a similar schedule), it took me a while to figure out that what ToM needs is another form of writing. Writing that doesn't need constant attention, but a general timeline. Which is why... I propose a writing contest!
Okay, HERE'S HOW IT WORKS.
How to Enter:
Simple simple! Just say you're entering, and what your piece will be titled.
Rules:
No pre-written pieces. This contest will be written by chapter. Chapters can be 1 letter, to (maximum letters proboards allows).
To assure that pieces wont be pre-written, each chapter will have to have a general theme. Since I intent to participate, it will be a theme chosen completely at random.
Voting:
Since this is a competition, there will be a method to narrow down participants. Thanks to Proboards, we can now vote for multiple people. However many people join, I'll adjust poll voting to half of the people currently in the competition. You're voting to see whose next chapter you'd most like to see. If there's a tie for last, nobody is eliminated that round.
Wildcards:
It wouldn't be fun if there wasn't a wildcard. Even if you're voted off. If we can gather enough people, then (at a certain point), whoever has the best story at that point will be named the reentrant wildcard. So don't stop your writing if you get booted off!
Once you post your title, you can begin chapter 1, which will not have a theme. Keep an open minded plot, and don't post your chapter until signups are closed!
Any questions, I'll gladly answer them!
Also, S-D, even you can join! I did say chapters didn't matter in length! You can write lolsup until you're voted out! Which is probably never, because lolsup is awesome.
