I woke up at about 10, and decided to look up Death Note to look ahead on some episodes. I started watching at about 11. It's 6:30 now. I have been watching Death Note for hours now.
Do I have a problem? Should I go on the Death patch?

lol
Happened to me before. For three days in a row, I watched an entire anime (26 episodes). That's all I did all day, for 3 whole days.

Yeah that's a problem. 11-6:30? Each ep is like, 20 mins or so. And you watched for 7 and a half hours.
So that's like 22 eps.
You're frickin crazy.
I mean sometimes I watch lots of eps, but only really like 5 eps. Or so.

I've played the same videogame for 22 hours straight once. If you've got a problem watching videos, then you're better off than me.

@kindie - Was that anime Ouran, by any chance? XD
The only anime I rushed through would probably have to be The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. Funny shit, it is. The satisfaction of watching the entire series didn't stick though, because it takes time and anticipation to enjoy a series fully.
@brandy - I suggest you watch only maybe two to three episodes of Death Note a day. I saw one each week (after I caught up to like, episode 13, I believe), and I'm still obsessing even though the series ended in either June or July of this year.
EDIT: I hope you're not watching it on YouTube. I sent you the link for Anitube weeks ago.

Anything with fruit in the name is either a cornball excessively girly anime, or an insult to one's sexuality...

Yeah, that's a problem. But I'd wager it's a problem we all have. Considering I bought the first two seasons of DBZ and watched them in their entirety throughout four days, I can't really judge.
EDIT: Also, considering I started playing TF2 at about 8:00 yesterday night and played through to 3:00, I'm probably worse off than you are.

Finished watching Death Note.
...
The ending was absolutely dreadful. I now regret watching the show. I have lost respect for it.

The anime ending differs greatly from the manga ending. I still found the series phenomenal, without a doubt. *is in utter ♥ with DN*
EDIT: Also, if you took longer breaks in between episodes, I guarantee you wouldn't think that.

Watch something more cheerful.
Death Note comes off as made for those who are gothic. Gothic isn't popular anymore, ya know.

I was grabbed by the thick plot, high level of thinking, epic plot twists, and good looking guys (not to mention Mamoru Miyano's smooth, breathy voice). I like how it all started with a bored high schooler and an equally bored god of death. =P
And I do hope you aren't referring to me as "gothic".

After a certain plot event, it became alot less intelligent.

I was turned off from the morbid theme of the show. Shows that are dark, depressing, or mess with your head REALLY put me off, not to mention those that seem like they were never meant to leave Japan in the first place. (Paranoia Agent, anyone?)

I really don't think Death Note is considered gothic.
But yes, it does have dark themes to it.

I honestly loved the maga for deathnote......until I got to the last volume, now I try not to think about the series, and also because of what happens I refuse to buy the final volume of dathnote. mostly because how light died was completely anti-climactic in my opinion and also how "good" ended up prevailing in the end. I want a series where the bad guy wins. because I was hoping light killed near and took over the world

But despite the ending, I think the series was the best shounen I've ever had the pleasure of reading. Try to look at the events leading up to the end, the fantastic plot twists and mind-blowing events. A series should not be judged solely by its ending!

I do that all the time, in fact I like the series more when it has a well done ending. like Gungrave had great action and decent plot, but the ending completely sucks, so I lost alot of respect for the anime, just like I lost alot of respect for deathnote. because of the ending I'm refusing to reread the manga because of the thoughts of how disappointing the ending is.

I wish Pokemon would end. Now it's just creepy... Ash is like... 30... he runs around with his friends throwing his balls around... not right.

Let's see... Series started around 1997, methinks. Add on 10 years, that'd make him... 21. ;;
